Former Missouri Supreme Court Justice Ronnie White Honored with Distinguished Service Award

Justice White was given this special award at the 2007 Missouri Association for Social Welfare annual conference for his service on the Supreme Court of Missouri.

Retiring Justice of the Supreme Court of Missouri
Ronnie White joins as a partner in Holloran White & Schwartz LLP

Justice of the Supreme Court of Missouri Ronnie White, a former Chief Justice of the Court, is retiring from the bench and joining as a partner in the newly named law firm of Holloran, White & Schwartz LLP.

Partner James Holloran said, "It is a tremendous coup for us to bring to our firm and our clients an attorney with the experience of Judge White. His broad experience as a trial attorney, a legislator, a jurist and a law school faculty member makes him an exceptionally qualified addition to our legal team."

Partner Thomas Schwartz added, "Judge White will focus his practice on civil trials, appeals, and business litigation representing investors, shareholders and small business owners. As a former judge on both the Missouri Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Missouri, his experience will make him a formidable advocate on the appellate level."

Judge White explained why he chose the firm of Holloran, White & Schwartz LLP. "I wanted the opportunity to join a law firm where I both could engage in the challenge of complex litigation on the appellate level while making a difference in my community as an attorney representing individuals.

"One of my goals will be to use the experience and resources of this firm to ensure access to high-quality legal representation to people with serious cases who otherwise might not be able to afford it. As an attorney, a legislator, a judge and a law school faculty member, one of my biggest issues has been ensuring equal access to our judicial system for everyone. I intend to reach out, especially in the African-American community, to make certain that people know they can turn to our law firm to get the quality representation they need."

In addition to Judge White, the firm is adding Justin Guerra as an associate. Guerra is a graduate of St Louis University School of Law and will focus on personal injury cases, including toxic tort, medical malpractice, workplace injuries and serious traffic accidents.

With the addition of these two new attorneys, the firm also is announcing its new location at 2000 S. 8th in the Soulard neighborhood of St. Louis. The phone number remains 772-8989.

Holloran said, "This move from a downtown high-rise office building to a neighborhood office reflects our firm's focus on the needs of individuals and working families, as opposed to large corporate clients. The location also has the advantage of ample free parking and a street-level entrance."
